Before beginning the treatment process, we will conduct a consultation to make sure we are clear about your goals and expectations. We also want to determine whether you are a good candidate for the treatment.

At Northwest Medi Spa, we utilize two types of lasers for hair removal: the Candela® GentleLase Laser Therapy and the Candela® GentleYAG Laser Therapy. During the procedure, Dr. Nonweiler or another experienced technician will apply the laser to the specified area. The laser will emit a series of heat and light impulses that target the hair follicle, removing it at its root, while preserving the surrounding skin. You may feel a slight stinging sensation, which most find tolerable. We can apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area if you prefer.

You will be able to return to normal activities immediately after the procedure; however, you should avoid any strenuous activity for at least 24 hours.

We recommend the use of sunscreen before and after treatment. Laser treatment cannot be done on tan skin. It is not safe to have laser treatment if you are pregnant.
